Boo from Alberta
Boo lives with Karen Courtney in Innisfail, Alberta. Born in April 2006, he's had a tough time healthwise, having already undergone two operations to remove objects he shouldn't have swallowed when he developed the signs and symptoms of Wobblers syndrome.

Karen was dreading having to put him through further surgery, but it was looking inevitable as he continued to drag one leg and had problems urinating. Thankfully, after x-rays and a CT scan, Wobblers was ruled out. It seemed that Boo's spinal cord, although triangular in cross-section instead of round, was within the normal zone for large breed dogs. The vets felt the problems with his rear end were developmental rather than anatomical in nature.

After such a roller-coaster of a first year, the good news is that Boo is now fit, healthy, happy and fully functioning!

Boo is doing great, and has grown into quite a big fellow.

Despite all the growing pains and destruction of her yard etc he is a source of pleasure and endless laughs to Karen. His best friend is a little border collie but Karen has yet to meet a creature that he is not fond of . . . including her cat . . . called "Who"!
"Happy Christmas, everybody!"
