17 March 2005 Connor had a very exciting morning with the man who came to service the garden tractor. Initially he was wary, but the fetching red overalls swung it and he decided that this chap was OK and might need a little assistance. He inspected the tractor alongside him, checked out the contents of the box of bits and tools and even fetched his roll of blue paper towel at one point, although it has to be said that he didn't head in the right direction with it and had a rather shifty look as he tried to sneak around the corner with it firmly clamped in his jaws! Tractors aren't interesting enough to hold Connor's attention for the whole two hours though, and he thought that his visitor might like a little light relief with a burst football or his special blue ring. |

Easter 2005 Connor welcomes some very special visitors: Saffron, his brother Bert's 'mum', and her family, who are in need of a large dose of therapeutic wolfhound hugs and kisses following the recent death of Connor's brother, Bert. |

Connor's favourite spot in the garden, where he likes to chill out, is also where
he takes any ill-gotten bounty. The Easter weekend was rather a busy one - five
bananas were pilfered from the kitchen top (but not eaten - he doesn't like bananas);
several wood off-cuts were sneaked from the garden table (and now show
signs of vandalism); the brush from the dustpan and brush set which has been repeatedly
seen in his possession is there, as is a lump of concrete, and the carrots
which were to be part of the McKendry Easter Sunday dinner. The only possession
to which he's entitled in the entire collection is one bone! |
