Darcy from Yorkshire
Darcy is the latest in an ever-lengthening line of needy wolfhounds who have found refuge and a special, loving, forever home with Sarah Powell and her family. Darcy came from a family that adored her but were no longer able to keep her due to other commitments.

She is meek, sweet and inclined to worry, but very gentle with Sarah's two young children, Aidan and Fin. She has that classic wolfhound intelligence, gentle with the children, reserved with strangers and pretends she won't play until the moment until the  game is stacked in her favour.

Although unused to regular exercise, Darcy's fitness is rapidly improving with runs across the field in the company of Bailey, Sarah's hareleqin great Dane, and another rescue. The first time the two were off the lead together they thundered around like loons and had great fun, but neither was used to this sort of freedom and they forgot to keep an eye on what was around them - Sarah's side-step was timely but a nearby tree wasn't so fortunate!
