Dudley from Hertfordshire
Young Dudley must be one of the luckiest wolfhound puppies around - he has not just one, but two great families to live with and love. Strictly speaking, his 'mum and dad' are Saffron and Mark Langwith, but Saff's parents, Julie and Les Penny, are also on hand to provide love and cuddles on demand.

Dudley looks like being a remarkable young man, which is just as well as he has some tough acts to follow. The family's second wolfhound (successor to Oscar) was
Bert, our Hogan's litter brother, whose death at just seven months broke their hearts almost beyond repair. Intensive therapy was provided by Bertie Bubbles, who came to them courtesy of Hogan and Bert's breeder, and gave them many years of love and joy until his recent death at the age of seven.

And now Cuddly Dudley takes the stage . . .

'I'm Dudley, the cuddliest wolfhound puppy ever!'
July 2010
Poor Dudley has had to have surgery to remove a large grass seed that was impacted between his toes. It took three weeks for the wound to heal and he then developed a rapid onset infection that required further surgery, and now has an abscess that has spread to his dew claw, with the possibility that the dew claw will have to be removed.

If you dog shows any sign of paw or ear discomfort, especially at this time of year, it's always worth getting it checked out. Grass seeds penetrate deep into the flesh of the foot, often leaving no visible sign of entry, causing the dog immense pain and discomfort. They can also become embedded in the ear, causing severe problems.
