It's possible that Irish wolfhounds aren't the only breed with a sense of humour. We're really not qualified to say, never having owned any other sort of dog.
And it's true that not every wolfhound possesses a good sense of humour (though they probably wouldn't admit to it, any more than we would).
But most of those we've known have had a clear and most wonderful ability to see a joke, often with themselves as the butt of it, and to us, it's one of the qualities that makes like with a wolfhound so richly rewarding - and so much fun.
