Hogan's Show Career 2007 |
Date: 25 February 2007 Event: Guernsey Kennel Club Members' Show Judge: Mrs Peggy Bailey |
Results: Irish Wolfhound Open Dog ~ 1st (1/1) Best of Breed AV Hound Open Dog ~ 2nd (2/4) |
Mrs Bailey's critique: Two year old male in great style. Head long and carried high, skull not too broad and muzzle long. Eyes dark, oval and full; ears small and rose shaped. All about his angulations of body shape are first class. Front legs straight and strong, coat rough and harsh grey colour, movement easy and active. A great hound, this young dog. |

Results: Post Graduate Dog ~ 1st (1/2) QUALIFIED FOR CRUFTS 2008 |
Mr Goodship's critique: Good masculine head and expression. A little narrow in front and a bit upright in
front pasterns. Would have like a little more angulation, but I like his topline
and underline. Moved soundly. |

Mrs Davis's critique: Masculine, well made head, strong and powerful jaws and muzzle. Well set on ears,
excellent eye and expression. Powerfully built neck and forehand, bone structure
to limbs and feet. Would prefer a shade more turn of stifle. Moved well once
settled into stride. Good coat and condition. |
Mrs Rawson's critique: Great size and substance, very deep chest, good spring of rib, very good second
thigh, correct topline, in good harsh coat. A bit reluctant to move at first, but
eventually settled and showed his soundness. |
