Megan's good nature and tolerance were tested, and not found wanting, by the arrival
of the 'duppies' (two 'dumb puppies', Kas and Madden) in the Jones household.
At first, Megan clearly thought Alita and Karen were crazy to bring home, but
they did teach her to lie on the sofa - she thought it was only for humans before,
and oh, was she grumpy when she found out the duppies were allowed too! |
Towards the end, her legs were getting shakier by the day, but it was very hard to
tell her that she had to stay behind when the others went out. She had always
come along, preferring long drives and waiting in the car to being left at home.
Even at the grand old age of nine-and-a-half, she wanted to come on walks right
to the last day. She was always a comfort in any situation, and Alita and Karen miss her very much. They will always remember her love, her humour . . . and especially her wonderful tolerance of those duppies! |
