Póg mo Thóin and Is í an t-aingeal í from Oxfordshire |
This young man, who looks ready for mischief, is known as Pogue to his friends. He's
about a month older than our Hogan and lives with Mick and Jay Boydon in Bicester,
Oxfordshire. His name is Gaelic, pronounced 'pogue mo hone' (or hoin) and Mick very cleverely managed to get Jay to agree to it before telling her it means 'kiss my a**e'! Mick says everyone asks Pogue's name when they're out, and not surprisingly, it's quite an ice-breaker!! |

November 2004 Pogue at 24 weeks old. |
April 2005 Now ten months old, Pogue is about 32.5" at the shoulder, which is a bit of a problem as the worksurface in the kitchen is about 30", so he has no problem helping himself. Sandwiches are always made with a nose under the elbow which gradually pushes you further down the worktop. He still likes to sit on Jay's knee, and as she is only 5' 1" tall, she tends to not watch TV from behind a very large grey head. |

August 2005 Pog has a new girlfriend "Is í an t-aingeal í" (iss e un tangil e) meaning - She's a little darling. Thirteen weeks, old her pet name is Issy. She's growing up fast and a bit of a bully, nipping his heels and constantly annoying him! |

September 2006 Issy and Pogue are in deep, deep trouble . . . |
