This adorable young man lived with Tammy van Keulen and her family in Canton, Ohio.
Tammy wrote: 'It's been almost 7 months since we lost Strider, our beloved wolfhound,
and we miss him dearly. We have been lost without a "Big Guy" in
the house, but now we are complete once again. Syrus joined our family on October
3rd after a nice 10 1/2 hour round trip to New Richmond, OH. Luckily, he slept
the whole way home. He was born on July 21st and was one of five born in the
litter. So far things are going good with the other two dogs. Casey at 8 years
old, is actually taking a liking to him and trying to play with him. She better
enjoy it now since she has some weight over him. Jasmine thinks he's a new
play toy and tries rolling him around. Potty training can use some work though.
It's hard not having a puppy for so long and trying to get used to taking up the
water. The puddles are huge! How he can hold that much water is beyond me!' |

March 2004 Syrus turned eight months on March 21st. He weighed 116lbs and was taller than 15 month old Jordan, who couldn't even look over his back anymore when he stood up. |

August 2005 Syrus proudly presented the new family member: Milo, a four month old miniature dachshund. At first, Syrus seemed a little flighty around him, maybe on account of Milo's size (he weighed 3 lbs on arrival at seven weeks old). Soon though, they were the best of friends and usually to be found napping together in the evenings. |
