This is young Thor, who lives with Ellen and Ron Iacovone in Solon, Ohio. |
Ellen writes, 'We are going to brag a little: Thor managed to graduate from puppy
kindergarden today. It is amazing to us, but we think he did learn something.
The instructor said he was soft and the worst thing was that he was bullied by
a pomeranian named Armani. We were so embarrassed. We are going to set him up for
the next class as he needs a little confidence and is a little timid, but the
interaction with the other pups has helped.' |
February 2004 |
Now six months old, Thor has been attending agility class and Ellen says he took
right to it. He graduated last week, doing the tunnel, the A frame and the dog
walk. He loves it - he sits whining and barking until it is his turn. He is slow
but steady; the instuctor calls him the tortise and the border collie in the
class the hare. Ellen finds it's a great way to get rid of some of that chewing
and biting energy as he's a real handful, and he's going to start agility class
no. 2 soon. |

'It is hard to believe that the sweet little puppy we brought home a few months ago
has grown into this big goofy dog. He is so much bigger but not much brighter.
He is 10 months old now and weighs about 145 pounds and he is 33 inches at the
shoulders. He gets into everything and especially likes to tear up kitchen towels
- he really excels at that. As you can tell, he is Dad's boy!' |

At 165lb, Thor is now a big, beautiful boy. He loved the Christmas tree and was always
lying near it. But although as you can see, he loves the comforts of home
he still wants his daily walks, even in the worst of an Ohian winter! |
May 2006 |
Thor is a bundle of energy, and is growing by leaps and bounds. He bites and chews
on anything but his own things, especially Ellen's ankles! |
As the photos show, Thor now has Ellen and Ron very well trained! |
Asking to have peanut butter added to his bone . . . now, please!!! |
Doing what he does best: just sitting around. He loves to sit on the couch and if
there is a bad thunderstorm he backs up to sit on Ellen's lap. |
