We hope you will enjoy meeting the ten Irish wolfhounds we have been privileged to share our home with since 1994. They have given us enormous pleasure (and heartbreak) over the years, and we set up this website to share the joy and fun they have brought us.
Enjoy your stay, and remember: there are dogs, and there are Irish wolfhounds - the two are not the same.
Firstly - don't rush! The site comprises some 200 searchable pages, over 100 YouTube video clips, 150 Picasa slideshows and more than 50 Smilebox slideshows - you may be here some time.
Picasa slideshows:Resist the temptation to click on the big green centre arrow. This is what Picasa wants you to do as it takes you to their site. Instead, click on the lower edge of the frame (marked by the small gold arrow ) to reveal the controls and view the slideshow embedded in our site. When viewing, if the caption obscures the photo just move your mouse away and the caption will drop out of site. Play around - you'll soon get the hang of it.
Mouse-overs: Look out for Maurice the Mouse. Whenever you see him, run your mouse over the photo to activate a special effect.
Text links: Text links to other pages in the site are in bold and italics; text links to other websites are underlined as well. (That's the theory, anyway . . .)
Copyright: There is none. Virtually all the photos (except the 'Near and Far' and 'Garden of Remembrance' pages) have been taken by me. Feel free to download them directly from the site, or I can email you the full size originals on request.
Browser: The site has been built usingInternet Explorer 8and that's how it will look and function best. It has been tested in Firefox, Chrome and Safari and functions OK - in other browsers, anything could happen.
Glitches: I'm a self-taught, hobbyist webmaster. I've checked and tested everything on the site but inevitably errors creep in. If you come across anything that doesn't work as it should please let me know so I can correct it.
If you'd like to save us in your Favourites we suggest you do so once you're past this intro page. That way, you'll skip this page on your next visit and go straight to the 'Latest Stuff' page.
This website is dedicated to the memory of McGinty,
our first Irish wolfhound and forever our 'Main Man'.
It was designed and constructed by Anne Vaudin
(with thanks to Paul for his support and tolerance) in June 2002.
